A traveling, interactive memorial honoring those who have died by suicide, recognizing those who continue to survive, and reminding every person: You Are Not Alone.
The Suicide Prevention Memorial is a growing 66-foot ribbon where community members can memorialize someone who has died by suicide, recognize their own survival, or leave messages of hope and encouragement for others.
The Memorial travels to community events, creating opportunities for remembrance, conversation, connection, and suicide-prevention awareness.
Sound Baths and Guided Journaling create welcoming opportunities for rest, reflection, emotional processing, and community connection through guided meditation, sound, and writing.
In 2027, Faded Heartwood plans to walk approximately 2,360 miles from Liberty Park in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Liberty Park in Palm Bay, Florida. The journey will carry the message “You Are Not Alone” and create opportunities for suicide-prevention outreach and community connection across the country.
The Suicide Prevention Memorial, Sound Baths and Guided Journaling, and the Walk Across America are growing into something larger.
We are developing The Space, a community-care program connecting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC people with affirming resources, practical assistance, wellness programs, and places to belong.
The Suicide Prevention Memorial will continue as a program of The Space.
Your support helps maintain and expand the Memorial Ribbon, provide community wellness experiences, strengthen outreach, and prepare for the Walk Across America.
